VICE PRESIDENT- RAY MARVIN
C. Raymond Marvin, an attorney, is a private investor in the telecommunications field. He was graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and from the University of Michigan School of Law with a JD. After service in the U.S. Air Force, he practiced law in Cleveland with Baker and Hostetler and later with the Ohio Attorney General. From 1975 to 1986 he held the positions of Founding Executive Director and General Counsel of the National Association of Attorneys General in Washington, DC. He has founded, built and sold 2 prominent telecommunications services in the Washington, DC area. He serves on the boards of several charitable and non-profit organizations and is currently a member of the governing board of the Washington National Cathedral. He has been a lay student of the Science of Mind since 1970 and has previously served as a member and then Chair of the Holmes Institute School of Consciousness Studies.
TREASURER- ALEXANDRA COCK
Alexandra Cock, JD, CLP, is a Financial Advisor, Master Prosperity Teacher, Tax Attorney, and teacher of Holistic Wealth Management. In more than 28 years as a tax attorney, and 16 years as a financial advisor, Alexandra has combined spiritual wisdom with contemporary financial insight to help clients achieve lasting transformation and prosperity in their lives. Alexandra garnered her Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Southern California, and her law degree from Seattle University of Law. She has served in leadership positions in her church as treasurer and board member for many years, and has developed and taught seminars about the interconnection of spiritual, emotional and practical aspect of money. Alexandra has been happily married for 29 years, has two wonderful daughters and two Samoyed dogs named Boris and Natasha. She loves to read, bead, sew and travel.
SECRETARY- STEVE BURTON
Steve moved to Colorado in 1986 from Indiana. He founded and later sold several successful businesses. His business interests have included two janitorial companies, a florist shop, four car washes, retail centers and a Dairy Queen – Orange Julius franchise. In addition to his business acumen, Steve has also been active in politics. For almost a decade Steve was a partner in a political consulting firm that managed campaigns that ranged from municipal to state-wide races and included managing candidates, ballot issues and referendums.
Throughout his business career Steve has been involved in numerous service organizations, serving as the president of boards including the Carbon Valley Chamber of Commerce, M. K. Gandhi Institute of Nonviolence, and Mile Hi Church Foundation. In addition, Steve served on the inaugural committee of A Season for Nonviolence – Denver and served on its board for several years, he currently serves on the Johnson and Wales University Leadership Academy Advisory Board and has served a number of other community services.
Steve joined United Centers for Spiritual Living in August of 2008 as the Development Director with the mission of raising money and creating a foundation for the long-term financial stability of the organization. In October of 2008, with the stock market crash and other financial constraints Steve worked with the United Centers for Spiritual Living leadership to develop a plan to come out of the financial crisis fiscally stronger. In April of 2009 he was named the Operations Leader of United Centers for Spiritual Living. He lives in Arvada with his wife Mary of 13 years and their beautiful daughter Cleo.
STEVEN BRABANT
Dr. Steven Brabant has been actively involved in institutional commercial real estate for over 38 years. Drawing upon his legal and business expertise, Dr. Brabant is currently a Senior Vice President with CB Richard Ellis assisting clients in the acquisition and disposition of commercial investment properties. Dr Brabant specializes in capital markets, developing and executing client dispositions strategies. Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis in 1997 Dr. Brabant worked for a number of pension and REIT investment advisory firms, including BankAmerica Realty Investors, Inc., Wells Fargo Realty Advisors, McMahan Realty Advisors and Citicorp Realty Investment Advisors.
Dr. Brabant has served on International Centers for Spiritual Living board since 1997 and currently holds the office of Treasurer for International Centers for Spiritual Living. He has been a practitioner since 1992.
REV. EMILE GAUVREAU
Rev. Gauvreau began his service with the Center for Spiritual Living Cape Coral in June 2008. Rev Emile is dedicated to the Science of Mind philosophy and making it known in the world. Rev. Gauvreau is a June 2006 graduate of the University of Transformation and Spiritual Leadership at the Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles, CA. He earned his RScP from UCRS in 2003. While at Agape International Spiritual Center he served in many capacities including over 6 years as a member of the Board of Trustees. He also served as the Youth and Family Director for the Claremont Center for Spiritual Living. Prior to entering the ministry he served as a management consultant in the health care industry.
REV. DR. KATHY HEARN
Rev. Dr. Kathy Hearn is the Community Spiritual Leader of United Centers for Spiritual Living. She was founding and Senior Minister of Pacific Church of Religious Science in San Diego, is an instructor for Holmes Institute and a contributor to Science of Mind magazine. As a member of the Leadership Council of the Association for Global New Thought, she attended the Synthesis Dialogues with His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1999, presented at the 2004 Parliament of the World’s Religions in Barcelona and presented at the 2009 Parliament in Melbourne. She traveled to the Middle East as the sole female religious leader for Harvard’s Abraham Path Initiative in November 2006, and led an Abraham Path trip to Turkey and Syria in October 2008. Dr. Kathy has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate and the Doctor of Religious degrees by United Centers for Spiritual Living. She, along with Dr. Kenn Gordon, is currently spearheading the process of integration between United Centers for Spiritual Living and International Centers for Spiritual Living.
REV. JOHN B. WATERHOUSE III, Ph.D.
Rev. Dr. John B. Waterhouse has been a devoted Religious Scientist since first attending the Miami Church of Religious Science in 1984. His life purpose is to reveal and release the divine power that dwells within each person he meets. With this as his foundation, he has contributed to the human experience through a variety of expressions.
John holds a doctorate in organizational psychology From Union Institiute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio and has taught diversity/gender psychology in the Psychology Department at the University of North Carolina. He has contributed to the men’s consciousness movement, facilitating support groups and retreats. His business experience includes owning and operating multimillion-dollar businesses in the oil and construction industries and he has managed national non-profit programs for organizations such as Robert Schuller Ministries. He was ordained into ministry by the Rev. Terry Cole-Whittaker in April 1988 and is the author of Five Steps to Freedom: An Introduction to Spiritual Mind Treatment, published in 2003.
John and his wife, Barbara are Founding Co-Ministers of the Center for Creative Living, a dynamic, heart-centered spiritual community of approximately 400 members. Their community occupies a ten-thousand square foot facility at Two Science of Mind Way in Asheville, North Carolina, which is currently constructing a new 5,000 square foot Youth and Family Center on their 6 acre campus.
